The key is having the right brushes and some water.

Large M1 Blending Brush

The ColorByFeliks 3 Step Process for Achieving Smooth Blends with Acrylics:

*You must have at least 2 of these fluffy acrylic M1 blending brushes and this is why 👇

Acrylics dry fast, which is why you need to work quickly and have multiple brushes ready to use. That is also why I am only offering bundles of at least 2, so that you can get the best results on your paintings!

Step 1: Mix your colors from lightest to darkest on your palette (I like to use a paper palette so I can throw it away when I'm done).

Step 2:
The first M1 brush is used to dip in water (just the tip and squeeze it out lightly), then lay down your first layer of wet paints from light to dark colors.

Step 3: The second M1 brush is used to work dry, and is clean, so that you can work quickly to lightly blend your colors from lightest to darkest.

*Note: If you are using a lot of colors it is good to have multiple brushes, or if you are painting a large canvas,
you might want 4 (or more) M1 brushes to help you work quickly and keep your paints clean.

Not sure how these brushes will help you get smooth blends?

Is it really necessary for me to own more than 2 of these blending brushes?

The answer is a big YES and here is why…

I use anywhere from 4-6 blending brushes per painting that I create.

The key to getting smooth blends with acrylics is working fast while also not allowing your colors to get muddy.

Using multiple brushes allows you to:

🎨 Keep your colors clean
🎨 Lay down your colors faster
🎨 Work both wet and dry quickly
🎨 Spend less time cleaning between blends

✅ Having multiple blending brushes =
smooth, clean acrylic blends.

Why These Blending Brushes, You Ask?

Not All Blending Brushes Are Created Equal! 🖌️

These brushes have gone through rigorous testing from me (a full-time acrylic painter and blending master) and thousands of my artist followers!

When I started my acrylic painting journey about 18 years ago, I was determined to get smooth blends with my acrylic paints like I saw oil painters doing, but I couldn't find the right brush to give me the results I was dreaming of.

I experimented with all kinds of brushes from big name retailers and they just weren't what I was looking for...

The truth that most people won't tell you is - not all blending brushes are created equal!

Other blending brushes:

Hairs that are too rough = streaks on the painting, and paint being lifted up off the canvas resulting in bald spots.

Synthetic brush hairs = not enough water picked up in the hairs of the brush, which makes paint dry too fast on the canvas.

❌ Loose hairs = shedding that never stops and leaves you plucking out hairs for hours.

*Smooth Acrylic Blend Created with 6 M1 Blending Brushes - 24" x 30" Canvas

ColorByFeliks Blending Brushes:

✅
Extra soft, fine hairs = paint blending smoothly on the canvas without leaving bald spots.

✅ Natural hairs = perfect amount of water stored in the bristles helping your paints stay wet longer on the canvas while you work.

✅ Created for acrylic blending = as the brush gets used more and more, less hairs fall out and the brush performs better with each use.

✅ Cruelty free = feel good about using our brushes.

I use these brushes everyday to create seamless, delicate blends that make my paintings look like oils, which have improved the appearance of my art significantly and resulted in selling more paintings!

What fellow artists say about ColorByFeliks Blending Brushes:

"My art has had an amazing transformation - These brushes were a gift from my sister in law..they are an absolute game changer. They do the blending for you practically. I've never used better brushes 💙💙 thank you feliks and co."

- Blu Dowdy

"This is a very good brush for blending colors. The bristles are stiff enough to move the paint around the surface even if they are wet. Nearly all of the "Mop" type brushes that I have owned before I tried this one would become too soft when wet. This brush stays firm when wet and you can use a light touch to blend the paint just like the videos show. I want to get a larger brush soon. I highly recommend this brush."

- Charles Costa

"Mop brush heaven - It was not easy to find a large mop brush, but I found it right here. It is so thick and soft. It really is wonderful. I love it!"

- Betty O'Brian
